Guadalupe Baptist Association

I was born and raised in Houston and graduated from Houston Baptist University in 1985. I earned a Master of Divinity in December of 1988 from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. I earned a Doctorate of Ministry and a PHD from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newbourgh, Indiana, in 2014. I served as Youth Minister in three churches from 1982 to 1989. After pastoring four churches in Texas in 22 years, I became the Director of Missions for the Guadalupe Baptist Association in June of 2012. My wife Lisa and I have been married since 1988 and are blessed with 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. What I love about this ministry is being an encourager and helper of churches. 

Hello! I am Jessica Barnes. I graduated from Edna High School and attended Victoria Beauty College where I received my cosmetology license. I attend Stark College & Seminary where I study ministry and the Bible. I am currently working on a Certificate, but seeking a Bachelor's Degree in Ministry. I am married to Corey and have 3 beautiful children; Blair is 14, Paislee is 8 and Carter is 4. We live in Edna and attend Vanderbilt Baptist Church where I am involved with the Youth Group. I have been involved in youth ministry since 2013. I am excited to come on board as the Director for the Baptist Student Ministry of the Guadalupe Baptist Association!

I was born and raised in Arlington and was saved at the age of 11. I am married to Walter Jackson and we have 3 grown children and 5 grands that are such a blessing to me! As a Pastor's Wife, I have served in many capacities in the churches my husband pastored.  I have owned a business and have a business background in sales, customer service, marketing, administration, banking and finance. The many hats I have worn in my business career have helped me greatly in my position at Guadalupe Baptist Association. I am honored to serve as your Administrative Assistant as well as take care of the financials for GBA.
